Position Overview
ProMach is in search of a skilled Automation Field Service Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for those who possess a strong technical background in machinery and automation, coupled with a readiness to travel approximately 60% of the time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expertly install and configure all ProMach equipment.
  • Conduct partial or complete field rebuilds of ProMach systems.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by guiding clients through troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, either remotely or on-site.
  • When not traveling, collaborate with engineering teams on sign-off processes, customer Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), or provide technical support.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to PLC, HMI programs, and Servo controllers on ProMach equipment in the field.
  • Identify and troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, or mechanical challenges encountered on-site.
  • Advise clients on necessary parts and promote additional purchases as needed.
  • Complete service reports, expense documentation, and online incident reports in accordance with company policies.
  • Be prepared for potential short-notice travel due to customer emergencies.
  • Utilize company systems to arrange your travel and accommodations while adhering to established procedures.
  • Engage in continuous learning by participating in both on-site and off-site training sessions to stay updated on all ProMach products.

Candidate Profile

  • Technical college or university trade certification (Millwright, Technician) with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply, as we are committed to investing in your development to become a leading Field Service Technician and OEM specialist.
  • Experience in the packaging or automation sector is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel within North America 60% of the time.
  • Diploma in PLC, HMI, Servo Controls, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to interpret pneumatic and wiring schematics, as well as adhere to industrial wiring and electrical codes.
  • Strong understanding of PLC, HMI, and Servo controls (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron; Festo, Bosch).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with pneumatics and knowledge of mechatronics.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of addressing both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Effective prioritization skills with minimal supervision.
  • Valid passport and ability to travel to and within the USA and Canada.
  • Possession of a personal vehicle and a valid driver's license.

Compensation Range

  • Minimum: $75,000
  • Midpoint: $80,000
  • Maximum: $85,000
