Role Overview

Oversee the design and execution of BIW automated process machinery, tools, and associated facilities for new model assembly production. Champion continuous enhancements in processes and equipment while adhering to budgetary and scheduling constraints of the program. Report directly to manufacturing process engineers responsible for the development of the BIW assembly process and tooling for new vehicle introductions. Collaborate with various departments (Product Engineering, Vehicle Assembly, Quality, etc.) to gain insights into vehicle components and subsystems. Utilize gathered information to create process documentation, assembly layouts, installation tools, and special manufacturing specifications. Lead Process Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (PFMEA) initiatives with the platform team for new and critical processes. Conduct employee assessments and provide coaching.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Over 10 years of engineering experience in manufacturing. Experience in vehicle manufacturing. Demonstrated program/project management expertise. Ability to effectively engage and collaborate at all organizational levels. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficient presentation and organizational capabilities. Proven leadership and problem-solving skills.
