About This Opportunity

Black & McDonald's Southern Ontario Business Development team is growing. We're seeking a collaborative professional to contribute to our hard-working, innovative team. As a Proposal Coordinator, you'll play a key role in the proposal production process, working with multiple stakeholders to coordinate and prepare proposal responses to Expressions of Interest (EOI), Requests for Qualifications (RFQ), Requests for Proposal (RFP), and Requests for Information (RFI).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the proposal production process, working closely with the Proposal Manager.
  • Coordinate and prepare proposal responses, ensuring timely submission and adherence to client requirements.
  • Review and interpret RFP and RFQ documents, determining requirements for successful proposal submission.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team for graphics and visuals.
  • Develop and maintain a library of standard marketing materials.
  • Support ad-hoc business development initiatives, preparing marketing materials as required.
  • Monitor and identify opportunities on public portals, notifying Division Managers.
  • Assist with document control and management.

Education Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution

Work Experience Requirements

  • 1-2 years of marketing/business development/proposal or related experience, preferably in the Engineering or Construction industry
  • Writing, Editing, and Proof-reading skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Superior communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements

  • Proposal coordination in a construction setting is an asset
  • Proficient user of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and PDF editing software
