About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our interdisciplinary team at Edgewood Health Network Inc. as an Addiction Treatment Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive assessments of clients with mental health and addiction-related issues
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in accordance with statutory and regulatory standards
  • Administer medications and provide ongoing client care utilizing the nursing process
  • Maintain current progress records on clients and orientate, facilitate, and reinforce client involvement in addiction treatment
  • Decide and initiate action in case of medical emergencies and provide supportive counseling to clients, families, and/or significant others
  • Co-ordinate individual client appointments and referrals and actively participate with team members in the assessment, planning, and evaluation of client care
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nurses with pharmacological training
  • Licensed Practical Nurse registered in the Province of Saskatchewan
  • Current basic CPR and recent clinical experience, including medication administration and leadership duties
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular and consistent basis and strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills and demonstrated use of proper body mechanics and ability to perform heavy lifting
  • Knowledge of and experience with a team-based person-centered care approach and demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of the interdisciplinary team
