Job Summary

The Edgewood Health Network Inc is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Counsellor to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals struggling with addiction and mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial patient intake interviews and complete comprehensive assessments to identify treatment needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, working closely with patients and their families to achieve recovery goals
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based approaches such as CBT and DBT
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support
  • Supervise nursing and support staff, providing guidance and mentorship as needed
  • Participate in in-service training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as counselling or psychology
  • Experience working with individuals struggling with addiction and mental health issues
  • Knowledge of CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based therapies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to maintain accurate records
