Job Summary

Grozone Greenhouse Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flower Grower Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our horticulture production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our greenhouse and nursery facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greenhouse and Nursery Operations
    • Organize and manage the daily operations of our greenhouse and nursery facilities, ensuring optimal growing conditions and crop yields.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity in our production processes.
  • Staff Supervision
    • Supervise and train a team of staff members in various areas of responsibility, including planting, transplanting, feeding, and spraying.
    • Provide guidance and support to staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Quality Control
    • Monitor and control reported insect, disease, and weed problems in our greenhouse and nursery facilities.
    • Establish and maintain required environments to ensure optimal growing conditions and crop yields.
  • Work Schedules
    • Establish and manage work schedules to ensure efficient use of staff and resources.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College or CEGEP diploma in a related field, such as horticulture or agriculture.
  • Experience
    • At least 3 years of experience in a related field, such as flower growing or greenhouse operations.
  • Skills
    • Strong knowledge of horticulture and greenhouse operations.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
    • Physical ability to lift heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
