We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flower Grower to join our team at Grozone Greenhouse Ltd. as a Greenhouse Horticulture Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our greenhouse, ensuring the highest quality of plant production and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Greenhouse Management: Organize and manage the greenhouse operations, including the supervision of staff in planting, transplanting, feeding, and spraying.
- Quality Control: Control reported insect, disease, and weed problems, and establish and maintain the required environment for optimal plant growth.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise staff in various areas of responsibility, including greenhouse operations, and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including the ordering and receipt of supplies and materials.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of greenhouse operations, including temperature, humidity, and pest control measures.
- Education: College or CEGEP diploma in Horticulture or a related field.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in greenhouse operations, or equivalent experience.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of greenhouse operations, including plant growth and development, pest control, and irrigation systems. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The ability to distinguish between colors and attention to detail are essential for this role.
