About the Role:
Grozone Greenhouse Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Greenhouse Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our horticulture team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our greenhouse and nursery facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and manage greenhouse and nursery operations to ensure optimal plant growth and productivity.
- Control and mitigate reported insect, disease, and weed problems to prevent damage to crops.
- Establish and maintain a controlled environment to promote healthy plant growth.
- Develop and implement work schedules to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Supervise staff in various areas of responsibility, including planting, transplanting, feeding, and spraying.
Requirements:
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- College/CEGEP degree or equivalent experience.
- Ability to distinguish between colors, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
