We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flower Grower to join our team at Grozone Greenhouse Ltd. as a Greenhouse Horticulture Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our greenhouse, ensuring the highest quality of plant production and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Greenhouse Management: Organize and manage the greenhouse operations, including the supervision of staff in planting, transplanting, feeding, and spraying.
- Quality Control: Control reported insect, disease, and weed problems, and establish and maintain the required environment for optimal plant growth.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise staff in various areas of responsibility, including greenhouse operations, and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including the ordering and receipt of materials and supplies.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of greenhouse operations, including temperature, humidity, and pest control measures.
- Education: College/CEGEP degree in Horticulture or a related field.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in greenhouse operations, or equivalent experience.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of greenhouse operations, including plant production, pest control, and inventory management. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload and tight deadlines. The ability to work under pressure and handle heavy loads is essential. The work environment is physically demanding, and the ability to distinguish between colors and attention to detail is required.
