Position Overview:

The role of the Senior Mechanical Engineer for Building Systems is crucial in delivering innovative engineering solutions. This position involves collaboration with a diverse team dedicated to enhancing infrastructure across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and drainage systems for a variety of building types.
  • Engage with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors to gather project information and address design challenges.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive technical reports detailing the progress and outcomes of design projects.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of project components.
  • Conduct site reviews to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineering staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in mechanical system design within the consulting engineering sector.
  • Possession of a current P.Eng. license.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Project management experience is an asset.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
  • LEED Accreditation is a plus.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, both verbal and written.
