About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Orenda Automation Technologies Inc. as a key member of our operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis to design, develop, and implement mechanical systems and components.
  • Supervise and inspect the installation of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement maintenance standards, schedules, and programs to optimize system performance and minimize downtime.
  • Investigate mechanical failures and unexpected maintenance problems, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and manage projects, preparing estimates, reports, and design specifications.
  • Supervise technicians and engineers, reviewing and approving designs, calculations, and cost estimates.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or processing industry.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, dynamics, and vibrations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel.
