Registered Nurse - MRHH D3 Medicine (Telemetry)

Positions Available: Permanent Part-Time and Permanent Full-Time

As a Registered Nurse, you will employ a patient- and family-centered methodology to deliver comprehensive, high-quality, and safe care to patients, adhering to the scope of practice defined by the College of Nurses of Ontario, evidence-based nursing protocols, and the standards established by Mackenzie Health. You will work both independently and collaboratively within an interprofessional care team, contributing to the creation of an exceptional health experience for patients and their families. Required Qualifications

Valid Certificate of Registration in the General Class with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in acute medical/surgical settings. Coronary Care Level 1 certificate from an accredited institution or a commitment to obtain within six (6) months of employment. Coronary Care Level 2 certificate from an accredited institution or a commitment to obtain within one (1) year of employment.

Additional Skills and Attributes

Demonstrated clinical expertise in patient-centered care, including strong assessment, care planning, education, and documentation capabilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in English and the ability to convey information effectively. Proficiency in a second language is an asset. Strong interpersonal and listening skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients and families. Proven decision-making, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities. Commitment to quality care and safety, with the ability to exercise sound professional judgment and apply evidence-based practices. Exceptional organizational skills, with the capacity to manage workload efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to constructively address and resolve conflicts. Capability to work both independently and as part of an interprofessional team. Dedication to continuous learning and professional growth. Proficiency in computer systems, including experience with electronic medical records. Familiarity with the Regulated Health Professions Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, WHMIS, and the Standards of Practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario. Ability to take initiative and adapt to new or unexpected situations while adhering to the CNO's Ethics Practice Standard. Compliance with the CNO's Confidentiality and Privacy-Personal Health Information Practice Standard and adherence to Mackenzie Health's policies and procedures. Physical strength, flexibility, and endurance necessary to fulfill the role, as assessed by the Occupational Health and Safety Department. Proven attendance record. Understanding and compliance with patient and staff safety policies that promote a safe and inclusive environment. Capability to perform essential job duties. Preferred Qualifications

Baccalaureate degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program preferred. Recent completion of a physical assessment course preferred. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Membership in the Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO)/Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) preferred. Experience with adult and geriatric populations preferred. A minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting within the past 3 years preferred. Experience in Telemetry, Coronary Care, or Intensive Care preferred.
