Overview:
Mackenzie Health is in search of a committed Resource Utilization Nurse to fulfill the role of Clinical Assessment Specialist. This position plays a crucial role in assisting the Resource Utilization Coordinator and upholding exceptional standards of patient care and data accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit RAI assessments to appropriate authorities on a quarterly schedule.
- Ensure timely and precise data entry for Quality Improvement projects.
- Evaluate statistical data to assess clinical outcomes and enhance quality initiatives.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to promote effective data management practices.
- Perform therapeutic psychogeriatric mental health evaluations.
- Lead outpatient psychogeriatric group sessions.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- At least 1 year of experience in inpatient mental health settings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint applications.
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR or comparable electronic medical record systems.
Additional Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Background in clinical outcomes and quality enhancement.
- Effective communication skills within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.
- Dedication to patient-centered care and safety practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Membership in the Registered Practical Nurses' Association of Ontario is advantageous.
- Experience in statistical analysis is a plus.
- Understanding of CIHI's RAI-MDS 2.0 framework is beneficial.
