Overview:

Mackenzie Health is in search of a committed Resource Utilization Nurse to fulfill the role of Clinical Assessment Specialist. This position plays a crucial role in assisting the Resource Utilization Coordinator and upholding exceptional standards of patient care and data accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit RAI assessments to appropriate authorities on a quarterly schedule.
  • Ensure timely and precise data entry for Quality Improvement projects.
  • Evaluate statistical data to assess clinical outcomes and enhance quality initiatives.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to promote effective data management practices.
  • Perform therapeutic psychogeriatric mental health evaluations.
  • Lead outpatient psychogeriatric group sessions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • At least 1 year of experience in inpatient mental health settings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint applications.
  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR or comparable electronic medical record systems.

Additional Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Background in clinical outcomes and quality enhancement.
  • Effective communication skills within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Dedication to patient-centered care and safety practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Membership in the Registered Practical Nurses' Association of Ontario is advantageous.
  • Experience in statistical analysis is a plus.
  • Understanding of CIHI's RAI-MDS 2.0 framework is beneficial.
