We are currently seeking a Senior GIS Specialist, IDD to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving GIS innovation within our organization. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the IDD Manager and other team members to deliver expert GIS solutions to our clients and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Geospatial Manager to design and implement 3D geospatial/BIM solutions for regulatory and permitting aspects of infrastructure projects.
- Develop basic FME scripts to streamline workflows in FME desktop/server.
- Create 3D maps, databases, and other deliverables for concurrent projects on short notice.
- Mentor junior GIS staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.
- Conduct advanced spatial analyses independently, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
- Build vector and raster spatial analysis models using Spatial ModelBuilder, Python, or other GIS scripting languages.
- Develop and maintain web GIS applications utilizing Esri Web App Builder and other tools within the ArcGIS Enterprise platform.
- Perform site travel as required for project needs.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, or a related field.
- 5 to 10 years of experience with Esri GIS applications.
- Strong attention to detail with rigorous quality control practices for GIS data.
- Proficient in managing, editing, and analyzing spatial data.
- Advanced knowledge of ESRI tools, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, and SQL is an asset.
- Experience with Autodesk software is preferred.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
