About the Opportunity

Aecon is seeking a highly skilled IDD/BIM Manager to join our Urban Transportation Solutions group. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the ONxpress GO Rail Expansion project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure BIM, GIS, and digital construction across project disciplines meet standards and contractual compliance.
  • Provide leadership, support, and coordination across all technical work streams, from design through to construction.
  • Deliver BIM and GIS in accordance with Aecon's IDD BIM related processes and procedures.
  • Manage the link between the Client's BIM representatives, consultant BIM teams, Aecon, and sub-contractors' BIM teams.
  • Ensure BIM requirements support digital integration across all project functions.
  • Report and manage interfaces between engineering disciplines, design, and construction.
  • Validate information models in accordance with ISO 19650 and the Institute for BIM in Canada toolkit.
  • Develop and implement project BIM training matrices.
  • Manage consultant and supply chain information models and delivery plans.
  • Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity, welcome different perspectives, and enable career progression.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in IDD implementation in large rail infrastructure construction projects.
  • Engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and experience/knowledge of civil construction practice.
  • Excellent knowledge of BIM Standards.
  • Experience with model federation platforms such as Assemble Systems, Navisworks, and Bentley Navigator.
  • Experience in implementing common data environments such as ProjectWise and Aconex.
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in priority setting, multitasking, and working with minimal direct supervision.
