Winter Beverage Specialist

Position Overview
The Winter Beverage Specialist is responsible for crafting a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests during the evening hours at our mountain lodge. This role involves managing the inventory of wines, beers, and spirits, ensuring that all supplies are adequately stocked and organized. The specialist will create a welcoming atmosphere in the lounge and bar areas, enhancing the social experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare a diverse selection of drinks for lodge visitors.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to suggest appropriate wine pairings.
- Oversee the management of beverage inventory and supplies.
- Handle ordering, receiving, and record-keeping of all beverage sales through the point-of-sale system.
- Maintain a clean and professional bar area.
- Support field operations as needed, including radio communication.
- Assist fellow lodge staff when required.
- Comply with health and safety regulations.
- Understand and uphold local liquor laws.
- Provide assistance to guests participating in field programs.
Qualifications
- Valid Serving It Right Certificate.
- Extensive knowledge of wines, beers, and spirits.
- At least three years of bartending experience.
- Experience in inventory management and ordering processes.
- Background in luxury hospitality or fine dining is preferred.

Working Environment
- This position is located in a remote area, requiring personal transportation to the lodge.
- Able to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds occasionally.
- Manual dexterity is necessary for operating bar equipment.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
