Job Summary

Vij's Lantern Inc. is seeking a skilled Server - Food and Beverage Services Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our service staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Provide personalized service to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Food and Beverage Service
    • Take orders and serve food and beverages to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Ensure that all food and beverages are served at the correct temperature and in a clean and sanitary environment.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with other servers, bussers, and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
    • Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Balance cash and record sales accurately and efficiently.
    • Perform opening and closing duties, including setting up and cleaning the dining area.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • Previous experience in a food and beverage service environment is an asset.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Serving It Right Certificate.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
    • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, such as trays and equipment.
