Restaurant Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team at Symposium Café Restaurant and Lounge. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and optimize daily restaurant operations to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Monitor and control labor costs, inventory, and cash handling to maintain profitability.
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure they meet our high standards of customer service and food quality.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase sales and customer engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, liquor laws, and other relevant legislation.
  • Manage inventory, negotiate with suppliers, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and support staff development.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, Excel, and point-of-sale systems.
  • Availability to work 40-44 hours per week.
