Position Overview

As a Healthcare Support Worker at BLUE SKY HOME CARE INC., you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients. This permanent position requires a commitment to providing compassionate care and support to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Assistance: Accompany clients during outdoor activities and assist with personal care tasks.
  • Medical Support: Help in the cleaning, sterilization, and preparation of medical equipment.
  • Comfort and Care: Attend to various duties related to patient comfort and well-being.
  • Monitoring Health: Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Meal Support: Serve meals and assist clients with feeding as necessary.
  • Mobility Assistance: Help clients with mobility, including lifting, turning, and positioning.
  • Communication: Deliver messages and reports between departments to ensure seamless care.
  • Room Maintenance: Keep patients' living spaces clean and organized.
  • Exercise Supervision: Oversee clients' exercise routines to promote physical health.
  • Emergency Response: Provide first aid when required and maintain a safe environment.
Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college or CEGEP program in health care aide training.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Certifications: First Aid Certificate and Health Care Aide Certificate are mandatory.
Work Environment

This role is based in a nursing home or similar setting, where you will work collaboratively with a dedicated team to provide exceptional care.
