Position Overview

As a Healthcare Support Worker at BLUE SKY HOME CARE INC., you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients. This permanent position offers a full-time commitment of 35 to 40 hours per week in a supportive environment.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is required.
Work Environment

Your work will primarily take place in a nursing home or assisted living facility, where you will provide essential support to residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage patients in outdoor recreational activities to promote well-being.
  • Assist in the cleaning, sterilization, and setup of medical equipment.
  • Support patient comfort through various care tasks.
  • Manage personal care duties including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Facilitate meal service and assist patients with feeding.
  • Transport patients safely using wheelchairs or stretchers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient rooms.
  • Administer basic first aid in emergencies.
  • Prepare patients for medical procedures by ensuring hygiene and readiness.
