About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at Island View Place Care. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Daily Living Activities
    • Help patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming
    • Assist with feeding and serving meal trays
    • Support patients with mobility and transfer needs
  • Provide Personal Care
    • Assist with toileting and incontinence care
    • Help patients with personal hygiene and grooming
  • Assist with Medical Care
    • Take patients' vital signs, such as temperature and blood pressure
    • Assist with administering medications and treatments
  • Support with Daily Tasks
    • Assist with laundry and linen management
    • Help with cleaning and disinfecting patient areas
  • Communicate Effectively
    • Listen to patients' concerns and needs
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Requirements
  • Education
    • College diploma or certificate in a related field
  • Experience
    • 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Certifications
    • First Aid and CPR certification
