We are seeking an Assurance Manager to oversee our Private Client Services division. This role presents the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse range of client engagements as part of our national practice. Our clientele encompasses local, national, and internationally recognized organizations. RSM's assurance experts assist businesses in enhancing their performance through various challenging business cycles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver timely, high-quality client service that meets or surpasses client expectations, including the coordination of review engagements and the compilation of financial statements, related disclosures, and other client deliverables.
  • Evaluate risks and design as well as communicate procedures to engagement teams.
  • Comprehend and apply RSM's methodologies for reviews, compilations, and audits.
  • Oversee multiple engagement teams and prepare evaluations for staff at the conclusion of engagements.
  • Recognize the skills and capabilities of Senior Associates and Supervisors, monitoring and reviewing their work products while providing constructive feedback throughout the process.
  • Supervise engagement teams and act as the lead facilitator during fieldwork, monitoring productivity and adherence to work plans for each assignment.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients to understand the impact of significant developments in their businesses and assess the implications for current engagements.
  • Foster the development of others within the firm through training, career development advice, and participation in various firm initiatives.
  • Stay informed by actively reading industry publications and sharing relevant insights with clients as appropriate.
  • Proactively address client concerns and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Understand RSM's service lines and discuss potential opportunities for valuable introductions to other firm members with client management.
  • Formulate strategies to leverage external relationships with various Centers of Influence to drive business growth.
  • Manage project profitability effectively.
  • Identify and communicate accounting and engagement matters to Senior Managers and Partners.
  • Spot performance improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure continuous professional development through ongoing education.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments affecting GAAP and the firm's standards and policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Accounting) or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
  • Active CPA designation in good standing.
  • A minimum of 5 years of recent experience in a public accounting environment.
  • Proven experience in leading teams and mentoring associates.
  • Thorough understanding of compilation, review, audit, and tax services, with knowledge of GAAP and GAAS.
  • A demonstrated track record of building profitable, sustainable client relationships.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a team lead or in-charge role overseeing staff on multiple engagements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A successful history of directing and deploying staff and senior associates on multiple, simultaneous engagements.

Compensation Range: $78,000 - $132,500. Selected candidates will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
