We are currently seeking an Assurance Manager to oversee our Private Client Services division. In this role, you will engage as a vital team member on a variety of client projects as part of our national practice. Our clientele includes local, national, and internationally esteemed organizations. RSM's assurance specialists assist businesses in enhancing their performance through the most demanding business cycles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver timely, high-quality client service that meets or surpasses expectations, including the coordination of review engagements and preparation of financial statements, related disclosures, and other client deliverables.
  • Evaluate risks and design as well as communicate procedures to engagement teams.
  • Comprehend and apply RSM's methodologies for reviews, compilations, and audits.
  • Oversee multiple engagement teams and conduct end-of-engagement evaluations for staff.
  • Recognize the skill sets and capabilities of Senior Associates and Supervisors, monitoring and reviewing their work while providing constructive feedback throughout the process.
  • Supervise engagement teams, facilitating fieldwork by tracking productivity and adherence to work plan schedules for each assignment.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients to understand the implications of significant developments in their businesses and assess their impact on current engagements.
  • Foster the development of others within the firm through industry training, career development advice, and participation in various firm initiatives.
  • Stay informed on industry publications and share pertinent information with clients as appropriate.
  • Proactively address client concerns and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Understand RSM's service lines and discuss opportunities for valuable introductions to other firm resources with client management.
  • Develop strategies to leverage external relationships with various Centers of Influence to drive business growth.
  • Manage project profitability effectively.
  • Identify and communicate accounting and engagement issues to Senior Managers and Partners.
  • Spot performance improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure continuous professional development through ongoing education.
  • Keep updated on the latest developments affecting GAAP and the firm's standards and policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Accounting) or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active CPA designation in good standing.
  • A minimum of 5 years of recent experience in a public accounting setting.
  • Experience in leading teams and mentoring associates.
  • Knowledge of compilation, review, audit, and tax services, along with an understanding of GAAP and GAAS.
  • A proven track record of cultivating profitable, sustainable client relationships.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a team lead or in-charge role overseeing staff on multiple engagements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A successful history of directing and deploying staff and senior associates on multiple simultaneous engagements.

Compensation Range: $78,000 - $132,500. Selected candidates will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on both firm and individual performance.
