We are seeking an Assurance Manager to enhance our Private Client Services division. This role offers the chance to collaborate as a key member on a variety of client engagements within our national practice. Our clientele encompasses local, national, and globally recognized organizations. RSM's assurance experts assist businesses in optimizing their performance through the most demanding business cycles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver timely, high-quality client service that meets or surpasses client expectations, including the coordination of review engagements and the compilation of financial statements, related disclosures, and other client deliverables.
  • Evaluate risks and design as well as communicate procedures to engagement teams.
  • Comprehend and apply RSM's review, compilation, and audit methodologies.
  • Oversee multiple engagement teams and prepare end-of-engagement evaluations for staff members.
  • Recognize the skill sets and capabilities of Senior Associates and Supervisors, monitoring and reviewing their work products while providing constructive feedback throughout the process.
  • Supervise engagement teams and act as the in-charge, facilitating fieldwork by tracking productivity and adherence to work plan schedules for each assignment.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients to understand the implications of significant developments in their business and assess their impact on current engagements.
  • Foster the development of others within the firm through facilitating training sessions, advising on career growth, or participating in other firm initiatives.
  • Stay informed by actively reading industry publications and sharing relevant insights with clients as appropriate.
  • Proactively address client concerns and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Understand RSM's service lines and discuss potential opportunities for valuable introductions to other firm resources with client management.
  • Develop strategies to leverage external relationships with various Centers of Influence to drive business growth.
  • Manage project profitability effectively.
  • Identify and communicate accounting and engagement matters to Senior Managers and Partners.
  • Spot performance improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure ongoing professional development through continuous education.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments affecting GAAP and the firm's standards and policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Accounting) or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active CPA designation in good standing.
  • A minimum of 5 years of current or recent experience in a public accounting environment.
  • Experience in leading teams and mentoring associates.
  • Comprehensive understanding of compilation, review, audit, and tax services, along with knowledge of GAAP and GAAS.
  • A proven track record of cultivating profitable, sustainable client relationships.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a team lead or in-charge role overseeing staff on multiple engagements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A successful history of directing and deploying staff and senior associates on multiple, simultaneous engagements.

Compensation Range: $78,000 - $132,500. Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
