We are currently seeking an Assurance Manager to enhance our Private Client Services division. In this role, you will collaborate as a team member on a variety of client engagements as part of our national practice. Our clientele includes local, national, and internationally recognized firms. RSM's assurance specialists assist companies in enhancing their performance through even the most challenging business cycles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver timely, high-quality client service that meets or surpasses client expectations, including the coordination of review engagements and the compilation of financial statements, related disclosures, and other client deliverables.
  • Evaluate risks and design procedures to communicate with engagement teams.
  • Utilize RSM's review, compilation, and audit methodologies effectively.
  • Oversee multiple engagement teams and prepare end-of-engagement evaluations for staff.
  • Understand the skill sets and capabilities of Senior Associates and Supervisors, monitor and review their work, and provide performance feedback.
  • Supervise engagement teams and act as the in-charge, facilitating fieldwork by monitoring productivity and adherence to work plans.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients to understand significant developments in their business and assess impacts on current engagements.
  • Foster the development of others within the firm through training, career advice, and participation in firm initiatives.
  • Stay informed on industry publications and share relevant insights with clients.
  • Proactively address client concerns and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Understand RSM's service lines and discuss potential opportunities with client management.
  • Develop strategies to leverage external relationships to drive business growth.
  • Manage project profitability.
  • Identify and communicate accounting and engagement matters to Senior Managers and Partners.
  • Recognize opportunities for performance improvement.
  • Ensure ongoing professional development through continuous education.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments affecting GAAP and the firm’s standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Accounting) or an equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Active CPA designation in good standing.
  • Over 5 years of recent experience in a public accounting environment.
  • Experience in leading teams and mentoring associates.
  • Knowledge of compilation, review, audit, and tax services, with a solid understanding of GAAP and GAAS.
  • A proven track record of establishing profitable, sustainable client relationships.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a team lead or in-charge role overseeing staff on multiple engagements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A successful history of directing and deploying staff and senior associates on multiple, simultaneous engagements.

Compensation Range: $78,000 - $132,500. Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
