Infection Prevention and Control Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Infection Prevention and Control Manager to join our team at Extendicare. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management and implementation of our Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) program.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement IPAC policies and procedures to ensure compliance with provincial standards and protocols.
- Manage and supervise staff in relation to IPAC program activities.
- Collaborate with the IPAC Consultant to ensure the IPAC program is consistent with best practices and key principles.
- Lead outbreak management protocols and ensure timely and effective response to infection control incidents.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Health Sciences, Microbiology, or Life Science.
- 3-5 years of experience working in healthcare, including public health sector, and 2-3 years in an IPAC lead or supervisory capacity.
- Current Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is preferred, or willingness to complete by a specified date.
- Continuous mentorship and support for professional growth and development.
