About the RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and skilled Loss Prevention Agent to join our dynamic team in Hamilton, ON. As a key member of our Loss Prevention team, you will play a critical role in protecting our assets, preventing theft, and upholding our company values.
Job Description- Provide friendly, professional service to clients while maintaining a vigilant presence on the sales floor.
- Utilize surveillance systems and conduct regular checks to identify and deter external theft.
- Adhere to all laws and company policies related to apprehensions, search and seizure, and evidence preservation.
- Prepare detailed reports on theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, and audits.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal partners, law enforcement agencies, mall security, and other retailers.
- Testify in court on behalf of the company as required.
- Deliver new hire and continuous employee training to enhance store loss prevention awareness.
- Conduct thorough store self-audits, checklists, and safety inspections, reporting findings to the Leadership team and District Loss Prevention Manager.
- Assist the Leadership team with inventory preparation and processing.
- Collaborate with stores and the DLPM to develop and execute shrinkage prevention plans.
- 1 year of asset protection/loss prevention experience in retail.
- Satisfy and maintain all licensing requirements (as required by province or local jurisdiction).
- Demonstrate strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Able to remain composed and provide effective coaching on loss prevention techniques.
- Proficiency in Windows, Word, and Excel is desirable.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and potentially multiple locations within a market.
We offer a competitive salary, estimated at $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, based on experience and location.
