About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager to join our team at Scotia Dealer Advantage in Canada. As a key member of our Sales department, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and success in the Manitoba Region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Pursue a business development program within the assigned market area of dealers, managing the volume, flow, and yield of a dealer loan application/sales pipeline, and maintaining effective follow-up with existing dealers.
  • Ensure all aspects of assigned dealers receive ongoing attention to achieve dealer satisfaction, using strong knowledge of the Business Line's products and services, and actively seeking dealer feedback.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls.
  • Champion a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates their team.
Requirements
  • Completion of a post-secondary education (college or university) or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 5+ years experience in a sales capacity, with direct experience in prime or non-prime finance preferred.
  • Functional knowledge of MS Word, Excel, credit decisioning, contract management, customer relationship management, and/or loan application software relative to the business line.
  • Valid drivers license.
Working Conditions
  • Work in a standard office-based environment, with non-standard hours a common occurrence.
  • Extensive travel domestically, as well as limited national travel, is required.
