Position Overview

As a Construction Cost Analyst at GLOBAL RIGGING & Transport Canada Corp., you will play a crucial role in evaluating project costs and providing detailed estimates to ensure financial feasibility and project success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cost Estimation: Develop comprehensive estimates for labor and material costs associated with construction projects.
  • Pre-Qualification Submissions: Prepare submissions to present to clients, showcasing our capabilities and project understanding.
  • Blueprint Analysis: Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to accurately assess work requirements.
  • General Expenses: Prepare estimates that encompass general expenses and overheads for various projects.
  • Feasibility Studies: Conduct economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects to assess viability.
  • Financial Projections: Project cash flow and financing needs for upcoming projects.
  • Reporting: Create and submit detailed estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms.
  • Quantity Take-Off: Utilize quantity take-off procedures to ensure accurate material and labor assessments.
  • Tendering Guidance: Advise on tendering processes and analyze tenders to recommend awards.
  • Cost Monitoring: Establish and maintain cost monitoring and reporting systems to track project expenditures.
  • Contract Management: Monitor and adjust contract expenditures as necessary throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Supplier Directory: Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers and trade contractors for project needs.
  • Collaboration: Liaise and communicate effectively with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors regarding cost estimates and adjustments.
Qualifications

Education: Completion of College or CEGEP program.

Experience: A minimum of 2 years but less than 3 years in a similar role.
