Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team at Home Craft Siding & Soffits Ltd.. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assessing project costs and ensuring economic feasibility for our construction endeavors.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting 1 to 2 years.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year and up to 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labor and material costs for various projects.
  • Conduct economic feasibility studies and provide preliminary estimates for proposed initiatives.
  • Generate and submit comprehensive estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms.
  • Establish and maintain cost monitoring and reporting systems.
  • Oversee and adjust contract expenditures as necessary.
  • Maintain a directory of suppliers and trade contractors.
  • Engage in communication with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors regarding modifications to cost estimates.
  • Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications accurately.
