Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at GLOBAL RIGGING & Transport Canada Corp.. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cost estimation and project management within the construction industry.

Qualifications
  • Education: College/CEGEP
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years in a related field
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive estimates for labor and material costs.
  • Prepare submissions for pre-qualification to present to clients.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ascertain project requirements.
  • Compile estimates for general expenses and overhead costs.
  • Conduct economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for upcoming projects.
  • Assess project cash flow and financing needs.
  • Create and deliver detailed estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms.
  • Employ quantity take-off methods effectively.
  • Provide guidance on tendering processes.
  • Evaluate tenders and make award recommendations.
  • Establish cost monitoring and reporting systems.
  • Oversee and adjust contract expenditures as necessary.
  • Maintain a directory of suppliers and trade contractors.
  • Collaborate and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors regarding modifications to cost estimates.
