About the Role:

The Regional Manager will provide accountable leadership and proactive management of PRT nurseries to ensure successful execution of our strategy and alignment with operational plans and performance. This role will oversee the safe well-being and development of our people, maximize customer satisfaction, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety: Foster a culture of safety and ensure adherence to PRT protocols and procedures.
  • Quality: Ensure crops meet customer specifications and reliability, working closely with the crop team to implement best practices and expertise.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive nurseries to continuously improve and adopt new technology or best practices.
  • Budget: Develop and manage realistic budgets, ensuring nurseries meet or exceed targets.
  • Problem Solving: Ensure nurseries generate proper root cause and corrective actions for problems, preventing reoccurrence.
  • People Development: Develop skills and behaviors consistent with PRT competencies and strategy in nursery managers.

About the Team:

This role will be part of a team of 5 Regional Performance Managers, reporting to the VP Operations, West. The selected candidate will be responsible for our Quesnel, Prince George, and Telkwa, BC teams and will work closely with our Customer Experience teams.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree or diploma in horticulture, agriculture, or forestry, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five or more years of relevant experience in a leadership role with multiple location oversight.
  • Strong accountable leadership skills, with the ability to plan, set goals, train, and coach employees.
  • Ability to analyze and think strategically, problem solve, and conduct root cause analysis to resolve issues.
  • Must be able to travel frequently within the region and as required.
  • Experience leading and managing crop production teams.
  • Strong planning, organization, and time management skills, with demonstrated career success in delivering upon accountabilities.
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • A valid driver's license and Passport.

  • Knowledge, experience, and demonstrated success in leading continuous improvement within a production/customer experience environment.
  • Ability and comfort analyzing and working with financial data to generate decision-making quality information, including developing budgets and financial analysis.
