Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time Senior Product Designer to report directly to our Head of Design, contributing to the evolution of BitGo's Wallet Services. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing innovative features for our platform, guiding projects from initial concept through to execution and launch. As a dedicated user advocate, you will adeptly balance business objectives with genuine user needs. The ideal candidate will be self-driven and capable of managing multiple projects in a dynamic startup environment. This role presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a passionate team tackling unique product challenges that will influence the future of decentralized finance services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead digital product design initiatives from research and conception to launch.
  • Engage in all facets of the design process, including research, ideation, design, and user testing.
  • Articulate user needs through the creation of personas, journey maps, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • Facilitate and guide workshops, design reviews, user interviews, and internal learning sessions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams while advocating for design excellence.
  • Maintain and enhance design toolkits, systems, and brand materials.
  • Contribute to the overall growth, productivity, and culture of the BitGo design team.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing web-based and mobile applications.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the product design process, design thinking, tools, and methodologies.
  • Ability to foster user empathy and translate business insights into aesthetically pleasing, intuitive designs.
  • Confidence in defending design choices with data, a robust design philosophy, and a creative approach.
  • A talent for visualizing complex data or user workflows through diagrams and elegant interfaces.
  • Strong skills in layout, iconography, typography, and information architecture.
  • A keen interest in exploring new design techniques, processes, tools, and emerging technologies.
  • A portfolio showcasing case studies and the rationale behind your design solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and enthusiasm for digital assets and Web3 technologies.
  • Active participation in the broader design community through speaking engagements, writing, hosting events, and showcasing work.
  • Familiarity with front-end development languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, etc.
  • Experience in building UI libraries and managing design systems.
