About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Apartment Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at 2396698 Alberta Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our residential buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, and clean hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents and staff.
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris, dirt, and other refuse from common areas.
  • Empty trash cans and waste containers regularly to prevent odors and pests.
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the building, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard.
  • Perform safety and security checks to identify and address any potential hazards.
  • Work with minimal supervision to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas during winter months.
Requirements
  • 1-6 months of experience in a similar role, preferably in a commercial or residential building setting.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with residents, staff, and contractors.
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and move heavy objects.
