About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Apartment Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at 2396698 Alberta Ltd. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our commercial building and shopping centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs to ensure a clean and safe environment for our tenants and visitors.
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse from the premises.
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment to ensure that all issues are addressed promptly.
  • Perform safety and security checks to identify and mitigate any potential risks.
  • Work with minimal supervision to demonstrate your independence and self-motivation.
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safe access to the building.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate or diploma is required for this role.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Commercial building or shopping centre experience is an asset.
Work Environment

You will be working in a fast-paced commercial building and shopping centre environment, with minimal supervision. You will be required to work independently and make decisions to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the premises.

Language

The primary language of work is English.

Work Term

This is a permanent position.

Hours of Work

The regular hours of work are 40 hours per week.
