Logistics Coordinator

Fission Logistics Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating activities with other work units or departments to ensure smooth operation of our logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate Logistics Operations: Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery.
- Prepare and Submit Reports: Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis.
- Ensure Smooth Operation: Ensure smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work as needed.
- Resolve Work Problems: Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Recruit and Hire Staff: Recruit and hire staff as needed to support our logistics operations.
- Consult with Production Supervisor: Consult with production supervisor to schedule production runs in a cost and time-efficient manner.
- Train Workers: Train workers in duties and policies, and arrange training for staff as needed.
- Conduct Performance Reviews: Conduct performance reviews to ensure that staff are meeting their performance goals.
- Coordinate, Assign and Review Work: Co-ordinate, assign and review work to ensure that it is completed on time and to a high standard.
- Requisition or Order Materials: Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies as needed to support our logistics operations.
- Organize and Maintain Inventory: Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that we have the necessary materials and supplies on hand.
- Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure that our logistics operations are running smoothly.
- Plan, Organize and Oversee Operational Logistics: Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization to ensure that we are meeting our goals and objectives.
- Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a logistics or operations role.
- Language: Fluency in English is required.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Personal Suitability: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
