The Role

We are looking for driven and talented individuals to join our expanding team as Accounting Associates. This role is perfect for those who are enthusiastic about finance and accounting and are eager to develop their careers in assurance and advisory services.

The Accounting Associate will work closely with senior staff and managers, playing a vital role in various engagements. Responsibilities will include supporting the accounting and assurance functions, focusing on daily accounting tasks necessary for the preparation of financial reporting packages, tax filings, and other client deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist in drafting engagement proposals.
  2. Maintain organized records of received documents and track information requests.
  3. Support clients with accounting tasks, including transaction recording, account reconciliations, month-end close processes, and preparation of financial statements.
  4. Contribute to assurance and non-assurance engagements, adhering to professional standards and firm policies.
  5. Conduct qualitative assessments of internal financial controls and document operational processes.
  6. Perform financial analyses and develop models, including in-depth evaluations of historical and projected financial performance.
  7. Prepare personal, corporate, and trust tax returns for assurance and non-assurance clients.
  8. Communicate regularly with team members regarding engagement progress and participate in client meetings.
  9. Compile completion documents to efficiently finalize client files.

Candidate Qualifications

We seek candidates who possess the following:

  1. A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or those currently pursuing such qualifications.
  2. A desire to pursue CPA, MBA, CBV, CFF, or CFE designations is advantageous.
  3. Relevant experience that demonstrates attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a deadline-oriented environment.
  4. A proven record of personal and professional development.

  10. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Caseware, TaxPrep, Sage, and QuickBooks is a plus.
