The Financial Operations Coordinator at Management Advisory Practitioners Inc. is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial and accounting operations at both the corporate and client-practice levels, with a strong emphasis on clinical functions.

In this crucial position, you will partner closely with the heads of HR and Operations to ensure the smooth integration of financial processes, supporting the growth and development of clinic operations.

The Financial Operations Coordinator possesses strategic decision-making authority and works in close collaboration with senior leadership across operations, HR, and strategy to realize the organization's vision.

This role transcends mere numbers; it is about making a substantial impact on healthcare.

The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about healthcare and aims to effect meaningful change on a large scale in the delivery of care to patients in our managed clinics.

We seek a highly driven, hands-on, and solution-oriented Financial Operations Coordinator to join our leadership team.

The successful candidate will hold a degree in accounting or finance, with a minimum of 10 years of experience, preferably in the healthcare sector or a related field.

As the Financial Operations Coordinator, you will be accountable for the accounting functions for both our corporate and client-practice teams, and you will serve as a strategic member of the senior leadership team.

This role entails comprehensive responsibility for all financial and accounting aspects of our operations.

Collaborating with the clinic operation teams, this position provides financial leadership and support for the unique missions of our clinic teams while optimizing accounting processes.

Engage with the senior leadership team in acquiring new clients, assessing their financial health, identifying process gaps, and enhancing workflows to achieve outstanding results.

Conduct thorough financial analyses to support decision-making, uncover cost-saving opportunities, and drive improvements in financial performance.

Lead a talented accounting and finance team, including staff accountants, business analysts, and OHIP billing specialists, in managing budgeting, financial projections, accounts receivable/accounts payable, and bookkeeping for multiple entities.

Collaborate closely with HR and corporate staff to oversee payroll and benefits administration processes.

Utilize key performance indicators at each clinic and at a consolidated level to gain insights into results and identify critical levers for improvement.

Provide financial recommendations based on essential data at both the clinical level and for Management Advisory Practitioners Inc. as a whole.

Work alongside the senior leadership team to devise an aggressive multi-year growth strategy that encompasses several new acquisitions and identifies new business segments.

Offer training and support to finance teams to ensure the successful implementation of process improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with our clients' public accounting firms to deliver year-end statements and provide input and guidance on tax strategies as a member of the accounting advisory team.

Proficiency in accounting practices and principles, along with a solid understanding of accounting software, is essential.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required.
Familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications is also necessary.
This is a full-time position.
The Financial Operations Coordinator will primarily work at the corporate office but may visit various client-practices as needed.
A post-secondary degree in accounting or finance is required.
A minimum of ten years of experience in accounting and financial management is essential.
Experience in finance/accounting within the healthcare sector is highly valued.
A bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, with a specialization in accounting, is preferred.
Holding a professional accounting designation is advantageous but not mandatory.
