Position Summary
The Store Director is responsible for overseeing the customer service, team development, sales performance, operational efficiency, merchandising, and human resources functions within the store. This role ensures compliance with Sephora's standards and policies while driving profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management:
    Collaborate with the District Manager to forecast sales and manage payroll effectively. Monitor sales performance regularly and communicate results to the team. Implement business strategies to achieve sales targets and maintain profitability.
  • Human Resources:
    Ensure optimal staffing levels to deliver outstanding customer service while adhering to budgetary constraints. Lead recruitment efforts and provide training and development opportunities for Assistant Managers and Supervisors to enhance their leadership capabilities.
  • Merchandising and Inventory:
    Conduct regular inventory assessments and maintain accurate records. Address inventory challenges promptly and make strategic merchandising decisions to align with Sephora's brand standards.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of management experience in the retail or service sector.
  • Proven track record in recruitment and staffing across various store roles, including leadership positions.
  • Strong time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure and demonstrate managerial courage in challenging situations.
  • Analytical skills to assess sales trends and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.
  • High School diploma or equivalent; a College degree is preferred.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physical Requirements
Ability to work in a fragrance-rich environment, lift and carry items up to 50 pounds, and perform tasks that require bending and stretching.
