Activation Aide Role

The Activation Aide plays a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents at Fieldstone Commons Community. This position requires a unique blend of creativity, organization, and interpersonal skills to design and implement engaging programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and coordinate activities, events, and programs that promote socialization, recreation, and personal growth among residents.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify resident needs and preferences, and develop tailored programs to meet those needs.
  • Plan, organize, and execute events, workshops, and activities that foster a sense of community and connection among residents.
  • Document resident progress, attendance, and program evaluations to inform future programming decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and excellence in program delivery.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology, gerontology, or a related field.
  • Current Standard and/or Emergency First Aid and CPR Certification.
  • Valid Food Handlers Certificate.
  • Previous experience in program planning, documentation, and evaluation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with residents, families, and staff.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Competency in Point Click Care, MS Office.
  • Experience working with seniors and individuals with diverse needs and abilities.
