Job Summary

The Activation Aide plays a vital role in our community, fostering meaningful connections and enhancing the lives of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and plan activities, programs, and events that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
  • Develop and implement programs that promote socialization, engagement, and overall well-being.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and programs.
  • Conduct resident assessments, establish goals, and develop interventions to address identified needs and concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of programming, including assessments, attendance, progress notes, care plans, and quarterly reviews.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration with other therapy programs, such as pet therapy, music therapy, and art therapy, to enrich the lives of our residents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall mission and goals of Fieldstone Commons Community.
Requirements
  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology, gerontology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current Standard and/or Emergency First Aid and CPR Certification.
  • A valid Food Handlers Certificate.
  • Previous experience in program planning, documentation, and evaluation is required.
  • As part of legislative requirements, all successful candidates must meet the provincial police check and tuberculosis screening requirements as applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Competency in Point Click Care, MS Office is an asset.
