The Activation Aide plays a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents at Fieldstone Commons Community. This position requires a unique blend of creativity, organization, and interpersonal skills to design and implement engaging programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and plan activities, events, and programs that promote socialization, recreation, and personal growth among residents.
- Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure a seamless and supportive environment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify and address resident needs, preferences, and concerns.
- Document and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to maintain a high level of professionalism and expertise.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field, such as recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, or gerontology.
- Current Standard and/or Emergency First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Valid Food Handlers Certificate.
- Previous experience in program planning, documentation, and evaluation.
- Ability to pass a provincial police check and tuberculosis screening, as applicable.
- Competency in Point Click Care and MS Office.
