We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Activity Coordinator to join our team at North York General Hospital. As an Activity Coordinator, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of our residents by planning and implementing engaging activities that cater to their diverse needs and interests.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement activity programs that are meaningful, appropriate, and sensitive to the needs of our residents.
- Collaborate with the activity team to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to resident engagement.
- Conduct assessments to identify the needs and preferences of our residents and develop programs that meet those needs.
- Provide education and support to residents, families, and staff on activity-related topics.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality of life for our residents.
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies, Therapeutic Recreation, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a long-term care setting.
- Experience with RAI-MDS assessments and knowledge of MOHLTC legislation, regulations, and processes.
- Knowledge of programming needs for older adults diagnosed with dementia.
- Bilingualism in French/English an asset.
