Production Team Lead

McCormick & Company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Team Lead to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production facility.
As a Production Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Your expertise in manufacturing processes, equipment maintenance, and team leadership will be instrumental in driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement standardized operating procedures (SOPs), baselines (CBAs), and best practices (OPLs) to ensure consistent and efficient production processes.
- Resolve daily operational issues, minor mechanical problems, and coordinate the need for non-routine adjustments and repairs through the maintenance team.
- Provide valuable input for performance evaluations, development plans, and training initiatives for team members. Effectively manage team interactions and resolve conflicts constructively.
- Ensure prompt reporting of employee injuries to HR and complete accident/incident reports in the absence of the Team Manager or Supervisor.
- Conduct on-the-job training for new and existing employees, fostering technical and business competency development within the team.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional departments such as Material Management, Quality Assurance (QA), Human Resources (HR), product to packaging development, facilities maintenance, and engineering to achieve overall plant objectives.
- Lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives, including PDCA cycles and root cause analysis, to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Perform administrative tasks such as report generation when the Team Manager or Supervisor is unavailable.
- Demonstrate flexibility by undertaking other occasional duties as assigned.
- Be prepared to work overtime (pre or post shift and weekends) as needed.
