The Accounts Payable Global Operations Leader is accountable for ensuring the precise and prompt processing of invoices, accruals, and reconciliations to meet month-end deadlines. This role involves monitoring payment schedules and managing vendor relationships effectively. The position is pivotal in maintaining the operational efficiency of the Accounts Payable (AP) team, driving process enhancements, ensuring financial integrity, and supporting the overarching financial objectives of the organization.

Invoice Management and Approval
  • Supervise the evaluation and authorization of invoices, accruals, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, completeness, and compliance with established processes.
  • Oversee the establishment of new vendor accounts.
  • Assist in the review and approval of invoices, accruals, and reconciliations as necessary.
  • Coordinate with various departments to secure required approvals and resolve discrepancies related to invoices and statements.
  • Monitor invoice aging and prioritize payments to ensure timely settlement of obligations, thereby fostering strong vendor relationships.
Operational Efficiency and Process Enhancement
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline AP processes, eliminate redundancies, and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Participate in the implementation and continuous improvement of automation tools and software solutions to boost productivity and accuracy in invoice processing and payment management.
  • Collaborate with the Sr. Manager, Accounting, to develop and regularly update accounts payable policies, procedures, and workflows in alignment with industry best practices.
Team Leadership and Development
  • Oversee daily operations of the AP team, providing necessary guidance, support, and direction.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities among team members, ensuring balanced workloads and adherence to deadlines.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor the AP team, focusing on hiring, retention, performance management, and identifying training and development opportunities.
  • Work with the Sr. Manager, Accounting, to ensure adequate cross-training among staff for consistent coverage throughout the year.
Payment Processing and Financial Management
  • Manage the review and approval of payments, ensuring adherence to established payment processes by the AP team.
  • Coordinate with treasury functions to optimize cash management and liquidity.
  • Oversee the reconciliation of AP transactions, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate financial data recording.
Regulatory Compliance and Reporting
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls associated with accounts payable processes.
  • Generate comprehensive reports and analyses on accounts payable metrics, including aging reports and payment trends.
  • Assist in audit processes by providing necessary documentation and support for accounts payable transactions.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, with 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Preferred experience in building high-performing teams.
  • Strong change management capabilities.
  • Certification in Accounting (e.g., CPA) is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP implementation and accounting technical solutions is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of financial acumen and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, especially in managing large datasets efficiently.
  • Comprehensive understanding of ERP systems and AP systems, with preferred experience in Acumatica, Concur, and Celigo.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with a sense of urgency.
Work Environment
  • This position is home-based.

Salary range: $67,500 - $120,000 annually, plus bonus opportunities.
