Global Automotive Finance Leader

Waterford Executive is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Group Controller (Corporate Controller) for a leading global Tier 1 automotive manufacturer of components and assemblies serving the automotive and industrial markets.

This role will be based in the Windsor area and will serve as the Corporate Controller, ensuring financial reporting adheres to company guidelines across various divisions. The successful candidate will oversee all accounting functions within the organization, encompassing accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, and other critical areas.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the coordination and direction of budget preparation and financial forecasting, establishing and maintaining planning and control procedures (including cost accounting systems), and analyzing and reporting variances.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of consolidated financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, capital spending, and intercompany balances.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate and applicable tax regulations.
  • Provide internal reports, refine and update them for enhanced usefulness and efficiency, and furnish external reports as required.
  • Guarantee that corporate accounting policies are consistently followed by divisions and that robust internal compliance measures are implemented, with results reported to the executive leadership.
  • Establish and maintain effective financial controls throughout the organization.
  • Foster regular communication with all divisional controllers, including international locations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA) or equivalent experience
  • Proven expertise in areas such as audit, corporate financial reporting, product valuation methods, month-end and year-end closing procedures, and external audit preparation.
  • Ability to travel internationally is essential.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented individual with a strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency in business KPI measurements.
  • Experienced user of spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Word, and analytical applications.
  • Multilingual proficiency in German or Mandarin is highly desirable.
  • International business exposure to the US, Mexico, Europe, and China is preferred.
  • Experience with major ERP business systems.
