About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Event Services Supervisor to join our team at Hyatt Regency Vancouver. As a key member of our Events team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of events and functions, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of Event Services Servers and Convention Services Associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Execution: Oversee the setup, management, and breakdown of events, ensuring that all details are executed to perfection.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and direct a team of Event Services Servers and Convention Services Associates, providing guidance, coaching, and training to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to event planners, guests, and other stakeholders, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Communication: Coordinate with other departments, including Culinary, Events, Stewarding, Sales, Outlets, and Rooms, to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Problem-Solving: Anticipate and resolve any issues that may arise during events, ensuring that the guest experience is not compromised.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit reports on event execution, including attendance, sales, and customer feedback.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, preferably in events or banquets.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer Service: Strong customer service skills, with the ability to provide exceptional service to guests and event planners.
  • Organizational: Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Technical: Proficient in using computer systems, including point-of-sale and event management software.
