About the Role

Naut'sa mawt Event Management is seeking a skilled Event Notetaker and Content Creator to join our Reporting Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality written content that supports our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend meetings, engagements, and events to take accurate and detailed notes of their proceedings.
  • Compile and deliver these notes as well-edited and succinct summaries, reports, reference documents, transcripts, and other written works as requested.
  • Support Naut'sa mawt Event Management in providing clients with notetaking services, report writing services, transcription services, and editing services.
  • Author Meeting Summaries, What We Heard Reports, Transcriptions, and other written works as requested on various topics related to creating positive impacts for Indigenous communities.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field, such as communications or journalism, Indigenous studies.
  • Completed bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Suite programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities is considered an asset.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient reading and writing skills, including strong proofreading and copyediting abilities.
  • Skilled at analyzing and summarizing information.
  • Confident in providing feedback to contractors regarding their work and writing.
  • Ability to work independently and act on own initiative.
  • Proactive and able to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken.
Working Conditions

The Notetaker will be required to work virtually or at meetings located across Canada. May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Adherence to Naut'sa mawt Resources Group policies and procedures is essential.
