Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team in the Northeast Area. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with individuals served, built on trust, respect, and empathy.
- Identify and engage individuals in community activities that promote socialization, recreation, and skill-building.
- Assist individuals in achieving their Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and provide support in daily living activities.
- Transport individuals to and from community activities and appointments.
- Collaborate with the support team to ensure seamless care and support.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
- Pass a Massachusetts and nationwide criminal background check (CORI and fingerprinting).
- Current annual physical or the ability to be seen by a primary care physician within 30 days.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
