Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and caring Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a Direct Support Professional, you will develop strong relationships with our clients, supporting them in achieving their goals and living independently. This is a part-time position, with flexible scheduling, and requires a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage in person-specific community activities, including recreation, social activities, or life skill training.
- Assist individuals in achieving their ISP goals, providing companionship and modeling appropriate social skills to build and maintain personal relationships.
- Support individuals in staying safe by following person-specific plans.
- Transport individuals to/from preferred activities.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle.
- Pass a Massachusetts and nationwide criminal background check (CORI and fingerprinting).
- Current annual physical or the ability to be seen by PCP within 30 days.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
